How fossil fuel saved the whales
Whale oil was the primary ingredient during the 19th century for much of the industrialized world. It was used for lamp oil, paint, lubricants for machines and gears and more. The discovery of petroleum put made whale hunting uneconomical because it could be harvested and processed more cheaply and safely.

    How can you go off-grid in a teardrop trailer for a couple of weeks and expect to drain this porta potty? Would you dump it out in a bush somewhere? It is natural.

      @@CTnaturalist Thank you for the reply. My question is sincere. I discovered a new toilet, the Trelino composting toilet. It's remarkable and separates liquid from solids, with no moving parts. Obviously, compost mixed with poop would have to be dumped legally. My question is, why can't pee be dumped in a bush? Piss is totally natural. It's not like you're dumping chemicals. I would never dump piss in a river or stream but I don't see what's wrong with dumping pee on the land. There's ethics about this and I'm uncertain one way or the other.

    Fast forward to 2023 and they ate all the caterpillars and the monarch butterfly is all most extinct and not a word is spoken about the stink bug instead they blamed it entirely on the farmers. I noticed the stink bugs eating the monarch caterpillars in 2019 they would completely wipe out everything. The stink bug was brought in to the US to eradicate the tent caterpillars that were eating the wild cherry trees. I remember reading an article in the newspaper that was bragging about how they could solve the tent caterpillars problem with the stink bugs and that they would solve the problem without harsh chemicals just naturally. The stink bug wiped out the tent caterpillars in two years and then found a new food source monarch caterpillars. A lot of the bugs that are popping up each year are actually genetically modified in Asia for the purpose of destroying the United States agriculture and forestry products our enemies have been doing this for a while but when anyone tries to bring it light they are called crazy we now have bugs that are designed to wipe out entire species of trees to hurt our economy just can’t wait to see what they cook up next but don’t pay any attention to what’s happening just go about your daily life like all is good

    Thanks for sharing--much appreciated! Is there a reason you used 2 x 3's instead of 2 x 4's for the standards? Is there any reason not to leave the screws in the bottom of the bed (under the standards)? Also, how is the refrigerator rack attached? (I assume some kind of livestock fence panel would work, eh?) Thanks again!

    • @CTnaturalist
      @CTnaturalist 11 місяців тому

      Hello, No reason for the 2x3's. I wanted to keep the frame as sleek as possible. 2x4's would work. I removed the screws under the standards because the head of the screws prevented level contact with the bed. Metal plumber's tape can hold the metal rack. You don't need much because the trim keeps it from sliding. Yes a livestock fence panel would work. Make sure the gauge is thick enough that the wire is rigid. Flexible wire doesn't work as well. (I tried it first and had to scrap it)
